Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012)

I was initially on the fence whether or not I should pick up the new TMNT figures, but after seeing them time and time again, I caved and bought them. Cowabunga!... right?

The figures are really solid and they pose extremely well. The sculpts are very well done and the overall attention to detail is quite impressive for a nine dollar toy.

I also really like how they made each turtle unique by making their heights vary from character to character.
(I don't know if you can tell from the picture above, but Donetello is the tallest and Michelangelo is the shortest.)

Critiques of the new Turtles: (Because what I say matters to everyone)

  • Raphael is really dark compared to the rest of the turtles and he isn't like that on the show. It seems almost like a miscolor.
  •  Raphael's mask is crazily blowing in the wind. Way more then the other turtles.
  • His under bite is a little bit weird (not too bad. nitpicking. sorry.)
  • They should have forgone the Harry Potter Chip in his shell and went with a regular chip.
  •  I don't like Donetello's "Madonna spaced teeth" in the show, but at least he kept his mouth closed for the toys.

There is something else a bit off with these toys... but I can't put my finger on it...
One of these things is not like the other
Overall these figures are top notch and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who is interested in picking them up (if they haven't already.)

  1. I think I will pick them up... oh wait I did.
I have to admit, I'm a bit old for ninja turtles, they were just barely past my toy days, but once I saw your ninja turtles all together I fell off the turtle fence I was on for 25 years. I really like these figs, good buy and good bye.
